I am an assistant professor in the philosophy department at the University of South Florida. Previously, I was a graduate student at Stanford University and a pre-doc-post-doctoral fellow at St. Michael's College in the University of Toronto.
I specialize in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy. Much of my work focuses on questions of methodology, value theory, and philosophical theology. I also have extensive training in classical philology, and I get particularly excited about Greek lyric poetry, tragedy, and popular religion. My dissertation (An Outline of Outlines: Typological Reasoning in Plato and Aristotle) is the first extended study of the role of 'outlines' or typoi in the work of Plato and Aristotle.
